Coinbase Adds Privacy-Centric Crypto Zcash to Pro Trading Exchange
Password Exchange Coinbase Pro is adding privacy zcash to its list.
The platform announced on Thursday that customers could migrate zcash to a professional trading platform, as previously added, users are not yet able to purchase tokens until they have sufficient liquidity. The deposit will be accepted for at least 12 hours after announcement at 18:00 UTC.
When a transaction is active, only Coinbase Pro users in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, Singapore, and Australia will have access to the coins. New York State residents and other jurisdictions will be accessible at a later time.
The exchange has not announced that coinbase.com or mobile app users can start trading in cryptocurrency.
Due to the nature of the privacy coin, full support has not been added yet. zcash provides transparent and shielded transaction types, and the amount of information about transactions is different. In particular, shielded addresses are anonymized while transparent transactions are traceable like bit coins.
The post says:
"At first we support depositing transparent addresses and shielded addresses, but we only support withdrawals with transparent addresses. We will look for support in withdrawing to shielded addresses in regions that comply with local laws."
After being officially announced on Coinbase Pro's list, the price of zcash has risen sharply at 18:00 UTC. According to Binance exchange data, after 5 minutes cryptocurrency jumped 15% to reach $ 99.13 on the 9th.
At the time of writing, ZEC cooled and is currently trading at $ 93. According to data from CoinMarketCap, the exchange has accumulated $ 125 million in 24 hour trading volume.
